Toyota 4-Runner OM 606 - zeeman - 11-14-2018
Just finished this for a customer. 94 4-runner with a OM 606. Adapted to the Toyota 5 spd. with my adapter to a Dakota bellhousing. Modified core support and custom fan shroud. Engine and transmission were moved back 6 inches. Autometer gauges installed in dash bezel. Four inch lift, 33 inches tires.
Om 603 injection pump.

nice looking install. Can I ask what you did with the PCV system? Are you using 603 pump or DSL1?

I used a 603 pump with the 6mm elements installed. I have a catch can for the PVC, it pulls vacuum from the air cleaner and has a sight glass tube and a drain.

What are the benefits of the catch can versus the just the hose to the intake? Is that an off the shelf part or your design?

Usually the PVC hose goes to the air box and the vapors settle to the bottom and drain. When using an after market air cleaner you have to create the same thing by using the air cleaner to pull the vapors into the catch can were they settle and drain also.
This was an after market one from E-bay, there are different styles. You want one with a baffle inside to trap the oil instead of it plugging up the air filter. They usually have a site tube so you can see when it needs to be drained and cleaned.
