Cruise Control for W123 Manual - Biocruzer - 01-03-2019 Hi, all! Happy 2019! Dunno whether the question is in the right forum or not: Does anyone out there know of a retro-fitted cruise control for a manual W123 converted from an auto? I still have the vacuum-operated CC 'switch' on the steering column, but would prefer something electronic. Arduino, perhaps? Cheers RE: Cruise Control for W123 Manual - baldur - 01-03-2019 I don't know what engine you are running, likely OM617, but on the EDC engines (OM605/OM606) I have cruise control built in to my DSL1 ECU, all that is needed to make it work is a couple of resistors and a pair of switches. RE: Cruise Control for W123 Manual - frans-c - 01-07-2019 The Rostra 250-1223 is all you'll ever need. I actually installed one on my old W123 280E and used the stock cruise stalk. A bit pricey, but really worth having a look at. RE: Cruise Control for W123 Manual - Biocruzer - 01-08-2019 (01-07-2019, 06:07 AM)frans-c The Rostra 250-1223 is all you'll ever need. I've looked at the Rostra website, no info on Benzes, but I'll keep looking. Cheers RE: Cruise Control for W123 Manual - frans-c - 01-08-2019 The Rostra is universal - just hook the actuator cable to the throttle linkage and the electrical connections. You can use the Mercedes-Benz cruise stalk with a few modifications - there's a specific forum thread elsewhere (just Google it). RE: Cruise Control for W123 Manual - NZScott - 01-09-2019 http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/CruiseControlRostra I was going to install one of these in my car because I was doing 8.5hr road trips for the last few months but have moved back home so probably won't bother any more. I was wondering if the speed sensor could work off the crank, that way the engine might be useful for driving something when in neutral RE: Cruise Control for W123 Manual - frans-c - 01-09-2019 Yup, that's the thread I was referring to. |
