Which engine would you choose for a Mercedes 190 for 450 / 500hp, OM605 or OM606?

You might consider an OM648 now that Baldur has the controller that will work on it and the 648 also has a far superior vgt turbo that will save you money although it won't make more than 300 hp. also consider some v6 diesels for ease of fitment. The 606 has been well researched for the 500 hp you're looking for of course. At any rate be prepared for some expensive manifolding, turbos and exhausts if you want big HP. I would advise contacting Baldur to get his expert advice.
