Soot under engine cover - wilm11 - 06-07-2020 Hello to everyone, my name is Philipp and I´m from Germany. In the past I worked on some Diesel engines from VW but now I have a nice OM605 in C-class. I plan to build a daily with a K14 hybrid, 6 speed and some other stuff. The car has 270.000km and is still in good condition. Now I found a Problem I haven´t seen before: I checked the engine at 260.000km and it was fine. Now, with 270.000km I found a lot of soot under the engine cover at the injector from cyl. 1. My first idea was the seal ring between injector and pre-chamber. But as you can see on the pictures thats not the reason, the black soot area begins at the pre-chamber ring. What do you think about it? Has any one seen this problem on his OM60X engine? Thanks a lot. regards Philipp [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img] |
