(01-04-2010, 05:00 PM)ForcedInduction Perusing as what?

I am looking to buy a turbo diesel.....But I guy I rent space to roast at has a : 300CD 97 nonturbo....that is in good shape: the normal paint road chips, new interior 197000 miles....I figure 2k is a fair price but I'm a nut for performance....So if a turbo can be done on this car for <1K it would be a good running car?

Thank you for your help

You would need to swap out the entire engine if you want it to handle a turbo. The non-turbo and turbo engines are very different. You'd spend that $1000 just to get the performance of a stock 82-85 300CD.

Coupes are nice, parts are far and few between. Not to mention expensive.

1983 300CD "Spike" Stock, as of now.

yeah i notice that coupes and wagons are much more expensive than the sedans. i understand that they're rare, but most of them are double in price.
