Hi, im new here.. before i go on with my cars im gonna tell you a little about me..

18 years old, from Tretten in Norway. have just finished taking welding class att school.. and above average interested in cars, engines Smile I got my drivers license 15th january this year and was driving a 86 Volvo 240GLE at the time.. but it used a lot of gas and had run it's miles.. then a 85 300 TDT was bought and it was a lot cheaper to drive.. especcialy since i could use colored diesel Wink

And over to the car, as the topic says its a 1985 Mercedes 300 TDT, with 437000km on the teller..
its original colour is green but repainted badly black.
i allready had a 81 300D as a partcar, ive used brakes and a lot of other stuff to replace broken parts on the wagon.. i've bought a manually transmission and clutch and flywheel from gelenderwagen to mount on this one, also intercooler. im going to mix a little with the dieselpump to give it a little more diesel.. but everything takes it time.. sorry for my bad english..

ive mounted yellow extralights to give it an 80s look, i have also painted the rear lights with red transparent color, pretty satisfied with the look Smile

An HX55? Thats going to be extremely slow spooling. I recall one of the finns saying that most of the 400hp cars are actually faster then the 500hp cars because their turbo spools up faster.

Wastegated turbos, especially large ones, are dead technology. Get an HE431V or HE551V instead, it will spool up vastly faster and flow the same.

well, last friday me and my cousin found out that we should trade cars, so he got the 300TDT and i got a 250D, alot cheaper on diesel and one hell of a comfortable car..

here's some pics of it

There are som fixing on it, like changing the brakepads front and the footbrakepads.. luckily a friend of mine is chopping up an 230e, so i got a lot of parts cheap Big Grin
[Image: 40615_10150232055825084_785210083_141373...3412_n.jpg]

here's his 190E, he was suspecting that his differensial was busted, came some noises out of it, so he took the clock down..

got a new steeringwheel for the 250, what steering wheel is it?
