Injection noice on om606 with myna pump
Anybody having any experience with injection noice on om606 with myna pump, the noise is from about 2500 to 3000rpm. on light to medium throttle ( normal highway driving ) it is a " tik - tik" sound almost like a bad valve lifter. can it be caused by wrong ip timing.?
1998 MB E300 - 194,000 miles. Current/future mods: 7.5mm pump elements, Holset HX40 Turbo feeding Eaton M90 supercharger through custom fabbed intake system. Aeroturbine muffler, scratch-built 4" stainless exhaust. EGR eliminated, ECM recalibrated, modified rack position feedback circuit. Porterfield RS brake pads, Bilstein sport shocks, VDO EGT, oil and boost gauges.
2000 Ford F250 - 150,000 miles. Current/future mods: DP Tuner 3 map chip, scratch-built high flow intake, high output IDM, open circuit fuel system, ball bearing turbo, South Bend full metal clutch, slotted and drilled rotors. Autometer Sport Comp EGT and boost gauges.
Can you hear the sound when you raise the RPM's and the car is parked?

if i lift the gas pedal the noise is gone, and if i floor it the noise disepear as soon the boost rise.
only a little sometimes. ( depends on the outside temprature, engine temprature.. ect. ) if i drive at 2500 - 3000rpm. with light load the noise i the worst

I believe his is from having very advanced timing to get all the fuel burned 5000-7000rpm. Larger plungers also mean the fuel is injected in a shorter period of time which is like advancing the timing as well. Try backing of your timing 1-2*.
