om602 pump on om605
om602 pump on om605
hi folks i am new here. I am going to build a c250 drift car with a holsett turbo. I was going to remove fly by wire pump and fit pump of om602. I have got a hold of a om602 non turbo pump, can it supply enough fuel to the om605 td engine. Thanks any help will be appreciated.
No. You will need to have the pump elements replaced to get more than 150hp.

You can purchase elemnt's from a fellow superTD member- tomnik.....
You can go with 7mm or higher that would be a good start for you, those should be good for around 450hp, if im not mistaking on a 605, with the correct holset of course.
What holset will you be running?
(10-13-2010, 08:27 AM)mantahead Thanks for the reply, has this om602 non turbo pump the same elements as the turbo version? What about the fly by wire om605 pump, could any parts or elements be used from it?

They are the same. Don't waste time or money switching used elements, go straight for the 7.0 Myna or 7.5mm Derv upgrades.

(10-13-2010, 01:00 PM)mantahead I dont have a om602 turbo pump, does it have a boost diaphram or anything extra on it compared to non turbo? Have you any idea how much 7mm or 7.5mm elements are? will the injectors need modified? What do the elements look like? Thanks.Turbo pump has an ALDA, but if you send you ip on element update they can do it on side a pump. Dont know all pump shops, but Mynä-Diesel and PPD do those here in Finland

Do you think hx35 would have to much lag for drifting on om605?Thanks
There is also 8mm elements in market. No need touch about injectors

What i have talk about him he think at that Garrett is too slow spool.

(10-15-2010, 03:51 PM)muurisYes and it help on drifting, because it weights more(10-15-2010, 03:24 PM)mantahead IS OM605 AS STRONG AS OM606? THANKS.
They are basically the same engine, the other is just one cylinder longer = more power, more weight. If you take 500hp, it comes easier from the 6-cylinder, of course.
