been using mobil delvac 15w-40 for a while now.

Is this the best oil from Mobil for the diesel engine?

or would the 5w-40 synthetic turbo diesel Truck oil from Mobil be better?

any input?

thanks

Synthetic oil is generally better then dino, but the question is whether it's worth using the best oil out there (typically more $$). Personally I wouldn't run synthetic in these cars unless I lived in very cold climates which would benefit from thinner oil or abused the hell out of motor with heavy loads. We've got customers with over 300k miles on these cars that just have been maintained well.

There is no benefit at all to using dino oil instead of synthetic.
