New to the forums, been reading posts @ 3weeks or so. Have the opportunity to purchase a 92/93 300sd for a very good price ($1400), it has @ 280k on the od. I know the last 2 owners of this car and it has a good service history. Now here the question I have, what other diesel engine can be swapped in with the fewest problems if the need?

The only reason for the swap would be if the engine gets tired, or my want for more power takes over.

No need to swap really, 617 is a great motor unless your looking for 300+hp, and thej above that the 606 is another evenbetter swap.
