Nothing really. The stock intake is already free flowing, a cold air intake and has enough airflow capacity to supply the engine with everything it can use.
What kind of difference does the black film make on the glare? I need HID's, but too poor to retrofit bixenon's...
(04-14-2010, 07:31 PM)Jtn190D What muffler do you have on there?

Nice car! I also have a 190D Turbo and think it's my favorite car ever. I even like it more than the Jetta TDIs.
Mine is totally stock and complete with basically everything working like new, and all the factory tools, paperwork, first aid kit, Becker stereo, etc. so I'm kinda torn between keeping it stock and adding an intercooler, boost/fuel, and a 5 speed swap.
Where did you get the nice looking headlight surrounds and HID kit? Even if I keep my car otherwise stock I need to upgrade the headlights- the stock ones are no longer bright enough for safe night driving.

190 is too small for me, makes me claustrophobic. I like the avant gard grill, where did you get? The handle on my jack fell this weekend and put a couple more notches in my grill
I dont think theyre made anymore. i got it off of a parts car i bought, then painted the insert black. maybe german ebay?
as far as the claustrophobia -- to each, their own. I love the cozy driver oriented feel. especially with the cossie seats

I am 6-2 as well. I could never stand a car where my hair touches the headliner. Would drive me up the wall. The very first time I got in a w123 as an adult I felt like I was the president. So much headroom. I have found the w124 manages to preserve this as well.
^^^ Haha! I'm 5'8" and feel like a midget in my W126 if my seat is too far down! I'm really looking forward to getting my W123 done, I don't like big cars that much. I only got my W126 because it had a fresh engine. Havent had a chance to sit in either of your guys cars, may have to go car-lot hopping and find out.
well, if I had to compare my 190D to my 560SEL or my W114 550E, yeah -- the room is far from ample.
the recaro cossy seats with the MANUAL brackets sit a bit lower, and the space never really leaves me wanting. that being said I'm only 6' tall..
I am also 6'2" and I can sit in my W123 with a 4" mohawk and not touch the headliner....

plus, it saves 22lbs
lateral support is very nice. especially since ive gotten the D to handle better than my E30.
