e85 injection?
e85 injection?
That happens with boats all the time here in Floriduh.... But seriously, don't quote me, but a 4:1 ratio of water to ethanol before precipitation out of the gas. So, you'd have to proportion water to alcohol a bit light to keep it in suspension. That may end up with too much gasoline for a CI engine, I think. But, then again, what the hell, give it a try if you want, just make sure to video it.

Totally don't understand?
I am saying e85 might be a cheap source for ethyl alcohol. but it's not guaranteed 85% alcohol. might be less. And the gas is concern
I guess the majority of gas would float when mixed with water. While the majority of ethanol would be dissolved into the water. Just need to skim off some gas and find somewhere to use it.
confirmed
"... but the gasoline-ethanol bonding is weak relative to water-ethanol bonding, so the gasoline will separate out and fl oat toward the surface."

sounds like a plan
(02-16-2011, 05:27 PM)larsalan What would you think about mixing e85 into water for a water injection system?
Like 1gal e85/ 10 gal water

Pretty much any racetrack. If your city has an industrial area there is usually a fuel/oil supply chain that sells many varieties of fuels.
