Nice to meet everyone, lots of serious people on here which is nice to see.

I'm from Toronto, Canada, I have an '84 300TD. I'm a young guy, I love the car, and have lots and lots of plans/mods/restorations and what not for it, which I will complete and post pictures of over the next couple of years.

Just wanted to intro myself, any other cakers floating around on here?

1982 300TD - Wilber
1985 300TD - Ol' Blue (parts car)
1984 300D - Black Beauty (parts car)
various OM617 and 617A parts engine

"You have to realize that this is a DIESEL and you have a gasser for starters - what works for you will not necessarily apply to me. I for instance could run 35 pounds of boost and probably more and your engine would be a block with melted pistons. "

indeed it is, I've worked on them at a garage, but my job was more commonly relaxing in the nice cars operating the launch, and now the fancy scanning netbook, so only minor wrench turning on them. I've just recently purchased it, and am slogging through all the adjustments and checks to make sure its running perfectly before its time to start changing the fenders and welding and other assorted rust stuff, and then finally start doing upgrades.
