A while back I got a tour of someone's G-wagen with a 606A (from factory). He stuck temperature strip stickers on the head in a few spots to keep track of maximum temperatures for that engine. I thought that would be an easy and clean way to monitor my 617A so I bought some "factory effex" stickers (http://www.amazon.com/2002-2009-Honda-Cr...B002FDJ2HW)

the question then is where would be some good places to place them on a 617 engine?

(I think they should be close to water jackets and far from exhaust ports)

Hmm, try this link.

Link doesn't work for me.

I'd stick it on the left side of the head below the injectors and on the filter housing and inlet and outlet of the oil cooler.

Cool thanks (I added a link). I wasn't thinking of the oil lines but these stickers could easily be applied to the oil line coming out of the filter housing.
