I have an M pump waiting for the Myna treatment and that Holset monster I just bought from ebay. What would be the best way to store them to protect against damage and rust while I amass more funds to start the project?

Sealed bag in a dark cool, dry area works well for me. Then again, rust isn't an issue in the california desert valleys.

'78 300D, OM617.912: 4spd manual, TB03 at 10PSI, 26*BTDC, DV's turned, HVAC, emissions system removed, e-fan, short ram, 3" downpipe to straight exhaust, W126 Bendix brakes, MR2 Spyder seats. 2890lbs

Take off the lift pump, fill with oil, slosh it around, drain, do the same with the fuel section and plug every opening with plastic caps. I also double bagged mine and keep it in a marked shoe box in my parts closet.

Many parts stores sell a kit or bags of them. I keep a collection of the ones I remove from new parts at work.
