This is a mess.

I can get a set of Febi Subframe bushings for $29, but one retailer says they are not for the 300TD while another retailer says they WILL work on the TD.

Everyone else wants over $250 for the "kit" and I have the same problem with the application data from retailers.

JHC! Anyone have EPC?

part # for TD is 123 350 03 75 and part # for a sedan is 123 350 01 75

so there must be a small difference, possibly an updated design. Would not be for certain until you had them both side by side.

Sunnuvvabeach.

Thank you, sir. I think I will check them out in a yard.

Also, those part numbers are for the "kits", right? I was thinking that part of the problem with these retailers is that some are selling "kits" while others are selling the bushings and some screws.

The kits for the wagon could be different, that makes sense.... the rubber stoppers and little arms that come with the bushings should be different. But the bushings themselves?

yes that is for the subframe mounting repair kit. I would imagine that the bushings themselves are the same and there is just some small differences in mounting hardware. For that price it wouldnt be a total loss just to order them and find out, worst case scenario you can sell them off to someone with the correct application.

Under "models" scroll down -> "(BM123)" -> select "Wheel / axle suspension" on the left -> "axle subframe" -> then on right you have parts, their FEBI number, and OE number, and if you click on each part you can select "Used in vehicles" and check which vehicles it is used in.

That would have been very useful if they listed a subframe mount for the sedan and coupe... but they only list one for the wagon??

Thats a good indicator that they may be different. I also have a different PN for the sedan / 240d bushing.

oh well. Thanks again.

Actually, Imaginos... that was very helpful.

I found something on there that listed the part for the 240d and the wagon.

I think I'll just buy them.
