Head needs replacing and manual trans ate third gear. Having a hard time justifying fixing it when I want an SL, a mog, a upgraded IP and considering keeping my 91 300d.

Things I would be selling and prices I am considering + shipping :
Vogtland springs + pads (custom fit for 617 + manual trans) - $300
Used bilstein HD Front and Rear - $100 (still ride quite well)
15mm rear sway bar (NLA) + Moog steel swaybar links - $300
300TD front sway bar, painted blue - $50
Square Euro lights (drives side needs new glass) - $150
617 300GD flywheel and clutch with ~20k on them - $800 (I paid over $1200 for NIB)
300D Driveshaft + dampener for 617+4spd - $150
Shifter + pedal + linkage for 617+4spd - $100
4 x 15" Ronal ACT W/Bridgestone tires w ~15k on them + NIB never mounted Ronal ACT wheel - $800
Pretty good condition wood, all of it. - $50
Modified IP, idles a bit rough but has LOTS of power over stock - $100
2.88 rear diff + speedo - $150
617 long block, eating a valve but otherwise OK - $200

I will also consider selling whole as is for comparable price.

Dibs on the Bilstein's and wood and rear diff + speedo. Maybe-dibs on the IP. Where do I find a rundown of the modifications?

Just turned screws and holders on the IP.

It is unlikely I will have all the parts off until then anyways.

OK, I'll pass on the IP. Let me know when the other items are dismounted. Other items I need are in my sigblock. Thanks.

I'd like the springs, please. And possibly the driveshaft and dampener.

Ughh my buddy almost pulled thoese for his coupe a couple months back. I think he removed the hardware for the front then said screw it. haha.

I don't really like 280 euro bumpers. I like the more basic euro ones with the rubber ends. Tongue

I guess i could give you a nickel for them though. Big Grin

(09-14-2011, 02:06 AM)mike-81-240d Ughh my buddy almost pulled those for his coupe a couple months back. I think he removed the hardware for the front then said screw it.

First, tell your buddy thanks from me for leaving the front bumper just lying there on the ground, for me to pick up, and for not damaging the headlight washer nozzles. And then, I'd like to knock the f***ing ape's teeth out for completely stripping the hold-on nuts of the rear bumper. It took Rocky and me, taking turns, about 45 minutes, sweating like pigs on the hottest day of the year, to sawz-all the entire rearmost fifteen inches of the body off. The rear bumper still sits that way, attached to the ass end of the car, in my garage.

The bumpers' metal is not bad at all. There is rust on the inside of the front bumper but neither bumper is dented or bent at all. One of them, I forget which one, has a half-dollar-size patch of flaking chrome but it is right underneath the rubber strip. The visible chrome is practically flawless.

The front bumper's rubber strip is essentially perfect but the rear bumper's rubber has been deformed (dented permanently) in several places. So I bought a new rubber strip for the rear from Abe. Price reflects the inclusion of this new rear rubber.

Confused Ah--that explains why Rocky remained so cheerful when I asked him to break out the sawz-all (in 90-degree weather); it was prolly he who stripped the nuts. Gotta love the determination of these Mexicans Tongue

Let me know what you have left - I'm likely interested in bunches of this stuff and stuff unlisted. I'm also driving a car back from Texas this weekend, so I could stop off at your location to avoid shipping costs. I've got a 300CD that I'd like to put a 4-speed from a 230C into, sounds like you've got the bits to make that possible - then again maybe a lot of those bits are on the 230C... Definitely want the wood and shocks if still unsold (though those are already called-for and probably gone), euro lights (price on that is a bit high though, eh?), possibly a bunch of interior parts depending what color/condition yours is, and basically anything that I could use on either the 300CD or 200D. I need front seat belts too, at least the latches that are attached to the seats. What's the deal with the swaybars? I'm not at all familiar with them. Also is there something better about the GD flywheel/clutch?

I'm looking for euro /coupe/ bumpers if anybody has 'em for sale, and MAYBE also sedan ones (I think I've already secured a source for sedan ones - a 230C donor vehicle).

(10-14-2011, 01:44 AM)Raptelan I'm also driving a car back from Texas this weekend, so I could stop off at your location to avoid shipping costs.

I've rescheduled for next weekend, and today I bought a 1980 300D with 81k miles for $750 that needs a lot of cosmetic TLC (mechanically it's fantastic!). Let's talk about what you've got available in the interim as now I'll have four W123s.

Too bad it's not a turbo but you can't beat that price. Lesson learned. If somebody on Craigslist posts a car ad with a greatly reduced price from their previous ad, saying "MUST SELL TONIGHT", it actually *can* be a good idea!
