OM603 header
OM603 header
nothing like freshly machined parts.
this is the start to my turbo header to mount my HE351Ve
to a OM603.
I will update this thread with progress
so when your done you can send one to me for beta testing

DUDE! that the exact turbo i want to put on my car / manifold i want to build!
tubular will be too difficult for me. but i could manage a sort of log style one!
this is awesome keep us updated!

easy to make, lighter, cheaper.
not as good flow/ performance but 100x better than stock still.

Yea im pretty sure. the stock manifold. even the euro one dosent seem to flow that well.

look at what?
the primary tubes are a bit larger, and the collector area is a bit larger from stock, so this will flow much better then stock US or Euro.
but the main reasons I went with a log style over a tubular tuned header are:
I am not looking for maximum power output, so the minor benefits of a tuned header are not needed
the thickness of walls have better insulating properties vs. thin-wall tube.
while a long tube header will flow better at higher RPM and create a bit more horsepower, a log style with shorter exhaust paths to turbo will improve low-end torque.
and the biggest reason: not enough room in the W107 engine bay for a tubular header and this turbo !
