hello again!
by my second infirmity, I have decided to build a 24v turbo diesel.
I bought a used 606 962 ...
I'm still not sure whether I should remove the cylinder head or not to rebuild.
someone has a good solution to the intake manifold and exhaust manifold for? hx40w with T3 flange should fit.

ahh a 606 NA is stock mechanikal linkage? with a normal mech pump same as 603? an shuld fit plug and play?
and the 606 turbo is electric...
There are two pins are pulled down. now stuck in the head.
any tips to drill out ?

no it was the bolt for the exhaust manifold.

i only ned a pood picture of the original linkage of a 606. i think olso perhaps the inj pump have a other as the 603. but not sure.
the pump is installt and engine is runnig at18° ADC verry well
but I must remove the pump again, because the timing is on 18° maxed out to late.

can someone help me with the speedmeter ? or RPM-meter dont know the right word.. to see the rpm inside the car.. haha
the sensor does not fit from 603 to 606t engine
and the 606 stock aso not because the sensor does not fit to the flywheel.
It was an automatic gearbox on the 606 engine. and i take my 5 speed gearbox from a 603 again with stock 603 flyweel.
what can i doo? is ther a way over the generator?

can I use the oil filter housing from the 603? on my 606?
I think the 606 is no pressure sensor?? wtf?
An advantage would be also the oil cooler line would fit again 1 to 1 to the 603 housing. apart from the pressure switch ..

Today I had time to work on my benz.
The oil filter 603 housing fits and now the oil cooler as well.
I built the new turbo housing with the rest of my hx 40 together. and turned the middle section and the compressor-side so that everything fits.
oil inlet and oil outlet I've already finished. Oil flow was a disaster. everywhere so little space. just past at the manifold flange, compressor outlet and manifold pipe itself but I guess it could fit.
the glow wire I soldered. matches the stock relays now.
today the first start!

I think I'm out of luck ......
I did everything together as far as I can made a test drive ..
once full throttle and the power went off .. I was briefly with 2.3 par boost pressure
then the power was off, I thought my worst. motor is running shit .. no idle ..
i think for a moment o fuuuck my rods ore somsing is damaged.. how the finns can drive like hell and go on driftrace with a sock never open 606 turbo and drive 2.5bar and nothing happen with de engin..? damn
I just now tested the timing .. (with position sensorless original MB)
Both leds light at about 3 degrees after dead center ????? WTF ????????????
how can that be?
last week i tested the timing 2 times. I let the engine run 10min. and placed in degrees to 20. to go on safely because went to sharper adjustment is later no problem.
how can this happen?

That thing sounds nasty!
The loud klack was the injection variable thing in front of the pump. Timing was at 2 deg. Now i used the from 603 unclude vaacum pump and all is ok again

what about EGT's ?? where is the limit for om 606 ? i testet the max today is 720C celsius at 2.2 bar boost

i think thats great! i believe they said something like shouldn't go over 800c? dont quote me on that though. just trying to help lol.

its variable for a muffler and pipe.
what universal muffler i can use to make it silent and performance for daly drive? i have a flowmaster but i think it make to much backpressure.
i hear good things about dynomax superturbo mufflers. small back pressure and good sound!

i think not many people look in drivetrain topics so im sorry i ask here again.
it was a 717 433 bevore and i bougth the same again. now its broken again. every time the 3. gear is damaged... 1. and 2. gear always spinning tires sometimes 3. too. because long diff. if i get grip the 3rd it break..
any better boxes on mercedes secor?

What about the 6 speed from 230 kompressor ? Or some cdi tranny to shift ? Thanks

I've found that I only take 7mm and not 7.5mm elements ..
so I was hoping for 350ps and not the 400 +
data and video coming tomorrow
i only make 2 runs. at 2. i adjust the pump only for 1,5 deg later. then i let is so how it is.. done..
im verry happy with the resault because only 7mm. for dailydriving enough
dont want know what happend at good adjustments on 7.5
ohh and the rpm are little different the engine make 6000 or little more. so you must about 250-300 rpm add on to the the curve. sorry

What one of power did you make with your 603 when they went out of commission. Care to share some details about your 603 projects.
Dont know about the Power never was on dyno. Same ip and turbo as now. But too high egt. There is a tread where i post the rebuild of NA and turbo engine and all the damages .
Oh yes, I do remember now totally forgot that was you in those previous posts.
