This problem has been going on for a while now and its been getting worse!

Everytime i drive i get this squealing noise from the doors, i usually crack the windows down a little a it stops.

it sounds like its coming from the top most corner of the driver side door and not sure where on the passenger side.

is this the door seals that are shot and need to be replaced?

I would like some info before i start spending a lot of money on seals

Haha Im glad Im not the only one with this problem!!

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

My doors are noise-free.

Duct-tape the door crack and climb in through the passenger side and drive it and see if it still makes the noise. If it still makes the noise, duct-tape the top of the window where it goes into the top of the door frame.

This should isolate the problem.

Gone but not forgotten: two W123 sedans and two W124 wagons.
W124 1987 300TD wagon, for sale, $1000 (some assembly required).

I was looking for a more professional and permanent result...one that dosnt require duct tape

I am not saying the duct tape is the solution; I am merely suggesting that it may help you diagnose whether the problem is the door seal or the window seal.

My left rear door seal had a small crack and I just filled it with black silicone sealant. It makes no noise and is perfectly rainproof. But if pieces are missing from the door seal then yeah, I'd replace it.

Yeah this is probably the most annoying thing ever, whistling at speeds above 45~ish right in my ear, although I think mine is a combination of door seal and window seal needing replacement. For now I'll live with it though Dodgy

I found them on autohausaz for like 45 per door, I think mine is the window seal because I discovered today that if I push out on the window while whistling goes away and Im just left with the wind noise that leaks in through the holes in the door seal
