For the Purist: W123 Bundt Rim & Tire
For the Purist: W123 Bundt Rim & Tire
For Sale:
Somewhat rare: (SPARE TIRE) Pristine looking rim, Bundt, Aluminum, with original tire made in W. Germany for W123. Tire appears to have never been used. The instructional card was still attached. Attached are some pictures, but I think a better digital camera would do it justice. I think this is best not seperated, e.g., rim sold seperately. Instead, whole tire & rim, with card. $100.00 plus shipping. This is generally not for the STD crowd, but moreso the purist or restoration market.
I just sold one like that to some guy on pp. I dunno if he got all the ones he needs yet. I was kinda low sold for 55+shipping.
There are also some numbering on the inside of that rim that tells if it is 6in or 6.5in width. Prolly need to show that in a pic too.
PM me and I'll hunt down his name for you if you want to see if he wants it.
Hey,
You're right. There are some stamped numbers on the inside !!! They are ink, however. I think the actual spare tire is somewhat different in that it has a werid lip on the outside -- that is the only reason it caught my eye. Not sure if the pictures really show it well or not. Can you PLEASE PM me the guys info. If it will fit the 15" upgrade, I may end up keeping it if I cannot sell it. The tire says made in WGermany, but its a Michelan (sic). The rim really looks sharp. Having 2nd thoughts. Thanks again Larsalan !!!
not the ink ones. Not trying to confuse your thread but these are the numbers I'm talking about. I can even see them in your photos, just cant read them.
I will go and check. I assume these are on the inside somewhere ?
Price reduced to $75.00 plus shipping. OR -- Any cool trades out there ?
Sold ! Thanks !
I have one of these original spare tires too. It even has the original Bridgestone Turanza tire on it. No instruction card though. Found it a couple of years ago in the trunk of a 1982 280CE. Still holds air, probably the original 1982 air! PM me if interested. $75 + shipping OBO.
