New Master Power R series turbo
New Master Power R series turbo
Those new turbos are soon awailable to all tuners
Those are new Low Inertial Bearing Design and almost all turbos are billet compressor wheel.
There is model almos everybody
example 47mm compressor and 49,5mm turbine model R474-3
Over 300hp model is R545-2 with 54mm compressor and 59mm turbine wheel.
Bigger power goal is R61-MAGNUM with 61mm compressor and 68mm turbine.
There is also little sister on that with 64,5mm turbine wheel.
If need big power here is turbo for that.
R6771-1 with 67mm cast compressor and 71mm turbine wheel is my choice for season 2012.
What application for a W123 chassis, OM 617.952 engine found in our beloved 300D Mercedes?

I dont find them to pricey, compared to Garrett they are quite cheapo....
I asked Jeemu to write this as it seems my username (antonmies) is locked out from writing anything.
Would there be any interest among you to purchase, let's say the R545-4 with internal WG for 850USD shipped from Finland? Currently there is no Master Power dealership in the USA and I find it a shame that US folks would have to be without these great turbos
I'm considering some different alternatives of how to sell these, one would be an exclusive webshop with PayPal and the other through eBay
yea price isent bad compared to garrets. but def more than a holset.
About Holsets. Do they come with low inertial bearing system, billet c/wheel (this might be, dunno US market), _proper_ compressor maps (not like )this,
large selection of turbine housing options or latest turbine wheel design? Back here they advertise some models with "High-Flow" turbines, Master Power doesn't need to as it's a standard
I'm not saying Holsets don't work or are bad turbos as there has been many success stories with them, but Master Power MPR `s are now technically more advanced and that's why they cost more.
So 850USD shipped to US....that's €622,-
How much of these 850$ is the shipping?
Shipping included is about $100. This is introductory price for US market and without local 23% sales tax and is subject to import duties and taxes, if applicable. European customers would be paying some 800€ incl 23% sales tax / VAT and shipping. VAT sucks...

As I am in progress founding my own turbo shop/ workshop, I could become MP dealer for Austria *g*

Back in business! Thank you winmutt!
Anyway, I'm currently updating my webshop for foreign orders outside EU, also considering eBay as I previously stated. It's quite expensive though: roughly 15% is 'lost' to eBay fees and PayPal . I will keep you posted.

Yea paypal and ebay fees blow but it would pretty easily make these turbos avaliable to alot of people.

(12-06-2011, 09:18 PM)kmaser I have an om617a with A/W intercooler, MW pump with Tomnik's 6.5mm elements in a mercedes G wagen, I am looking more for low end torque than all out HP would you recommend R4449-2 or the R444-2 as a better choice?

Those are soon here cant wait at i can test fit one of these at my 605
Don't have the comp map yet for that one, but an educated guess would be some 2,5bar peak
It's with T25 flange. R4449's are with T3, but no internal WG yet
Haven't yet made the USD price sheet for exporting, but with quick calculation I would say somewhere around USD850 +-$50 shipped to Canada. This is a rough estimate!
Hey Antonmies,
I am getting an M pump modified by Goran -- eventually I hope ! -- but I think it is fair to say either standard MW pump or Goran's M pump magic.
This is a dailey driver or WILL BE -- the Phoenix Project. The front end is being pulled out today.
So, what turbo would work for a dailey driver ???????????
Thanks,
Probably lower end since I am not looking for a car that will go a zillion miles an hour. I am looking for a car that will get up and go half a zillion miles an hour FAST. I cruise no faster than 75 mph unless I am headed West, and 80 mph is the max. So, what will get my car up and booging super fast --
If this helps, my car will be a manual -- not automatic.
The revered and esteemed W123 application.
The 4449-2 OR 474-3 ?
What is pricing ? Paying by PayPal? Forum discounts ?
Thanks !!
So, $890 USD and another $$ for import duties and taxes ? What is the grand total in USD ?
Don't know the US customs duties or taxes. But if it's even close as back here, the duty will be 2-3% and tax would be the state sales tax for product+shipping+duties. But this is merely a guess.
I'm currently including shipping in the actual retail prices, but I think I have to change that at some point in the future.

There is some pics those new Master Powers.
That 4449-2 is just pure diamond

There are some new maps available in Master Power official Facebook site, incl R444 and R4449.
I'll update my forums c/map section soon.
Does the 54x77 wheel come in a vented housing? somehow it seems to have such a nasty dent in the map just where one needs it for good midrange..
I was looking for something like an S200 pn 177257, but then with a recirculated (anti surge) housing and internal WG turbine housing.. is somewhere in between the EFR 62 and 67mm wheel qua flow but broader map when used with a recirculated comp housing

Unfortuantly I cannot publish the map, but the 177257 in stock form does around 0.33kg/sec at PR 3.7 with eta .69, so this is with a non vented housing, surgeline is very compareable to your 54x77 wheel. when adding a vented housing to the 177257, one could estimate PR3 to be around .17kg/sec at eta .7.. I want to use this turbo on a 2 liter engine, and the LP can do PR 3 from 1500 till 2500 rpm easily, after that it will be bypassed on both sides and the LP should be able to carry on alone till redline with PR 3.5 or slightly more
Ok, so there is no map
The ported shroud doesn't significantly broaden the map in general but widen's the 'islands' and in mid section reduces the necessary shaft speed.
Sure there is a map, map of the 172244 wheel in the 177257 turbo which comes unfortunately only with standard comp housing, but I would expect that the shroud really moves the surgeline a healthy portion to the left, as the way the map is now, the eta .72 island is cut for a good portion by the surgeline..
The map on page 35 is from a turbo that's not listed in the catalog?
if the comp housing changes, the map changes. Where is the 178034 you said the map is from?
