This is a supercharger for a Merlin/Pratt V1650 engine from 1941-1942. This is the engine that was installed in P-51. This is the second gen single stage supercharger. Capable of 25lbs of boost at 20k ft on 1650 cubic inches. Max supercharger RPM as tested is 24k. This is not a supercharger for the faint of heart. It is meant for a BIG cube engine. You will probably not find anything on the street this thing can't feed and you will likely never see one of these again. Wartime max hp on one like this is 1900hp on 115 octane. You can run it as a draw thru carb set up or a blow thru. Intake side is 100mm (4"). Overall disc diameter of 11", overall supercharger diameter of 12". It is built to maintain a flat torque curve for flight. I was going to run it on a big block project I had and have since sold. I can provide the buyer with more specs on it upon purchase. These sell for over $8,000 at warbird auctions when they rarely come up. This needs to go to someone who will use it.

Asking $2500/obo/trade. Looking more for a trade if anything. My wife needs a car... I want a new toy... Firearms, motorcycles, cars, trucks, just about anything. Make an offer, even if you think it may be a bit light. Worst I can say is no. PM, email, or call/text 630-788-6013 (fastest way to get a hold of me). Chicago Area.

I have a piston from one of those engines Big Grin

I would be interested if I had that much money to spend, or if I had any firearms I could live with parting with.

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!
