I was wondering if it is feasible to turbo a naturally aspirated OM603? Has anyone done this or looked into something like this?
If I were to do this could one buy Mercedes OM603 parts from a turbo and build a reasonably decent reliable motor wit the std block and head? I have seen torque up around the 270N.m region for the turbo version.
I have a OM603.931 in a '94 G300 diesel and was wondering if this is a good way to boost power etc?
What boost pressure does the stock OM603 turbo run?
Can the standard IP supply enough diesel to a turbo OM603 or would some modification to the pump be required?

Here in SA we never got any MB turbos until the CDI generation came about. There are a few 290GDTs and C250 TDs about but I guess the main problem is that the steering column is right where the turbo and engine mounts need to be in RHD?
Internally the part numbers in the 603NA and 603 turbo are different.
