This is really nice, Thanks alot for the videocliip, i`ll take it to my dieselmeken facebooksite if its OK with you.
It seems to have a litttle bit of overfuelling, but as you wrote, its easy to fix now that you have a gearbox that is OK.
Also, the fact that you dont have any ALDA on the pump, It can bee seen in the cloud of smoke before boost is rised. Nice job with engine / gearbox.
Come back when you got max out of the pump and it not is enough and you need moore, then I fix it.

I stop reving at 6000, bacause i`m afraid the stock valve springs wont hold the valves past that point I don`t know how much power, but after i adjusted the Injectiontime yesterday the engine runs even better! Infact so good, that the driveshaft snapd after one pull in 3rd...So now i am searching for some better and beefier axels
Blame me for it!

Great job.
You are turned this W201 into a small evil fighter.
Here is the tranny build pictures
The bellhousing is from a old 5 speed mb tranny, and the gearbox is a GS5-39DZ from a BMW E39 530d. This can handle up to 1000nm
We started like this:
The bmw inputshaft fits inside the stock mb bearing (35mm*15mm*10mm)
Spotwelded one side and adjusted the tranny so it aligned up with the engine
We was almost empty of gas that night, so the welding wasn`t perferct...But it holds
Thats the way, if you want it to hold, BMW is da shit! Nice work, next, come up whit the drivshafts that broke.
Now is the rear end modified and stronger
Let the pictures tell the story!
w124 (185mm diff) vs w129(210mm diff) flanges
125mm flange vs 102mm flange
Custom driveshaft-flange with a 125mm flange
A custom w124 differential
Now over to the driveshafts....
To pieces welded togheter, then i make shure that they are strait before i weld them all the way
Welded axels
Then i macined the weld down to the same diameter as the axel. Then i press a pipe/bushing over the joint and weld that one as well. Now the joint it self are stronger than the axel.
Here is to finished axels, and you see the pipe i welded over the joint.
Finished axels
very nice! I'm impressed I may need to do that to a BMW project in the near future

Houston, we have a problem...
Double hardy plate work very good, but not for long
Are you sure at all fittings are straight? If u are then use original Flexdisc that used rear and tight that so your know at you are tighten it
See on foto bolts is 8.8 class of strenght, original is 10.9.Double "elastic" togetheris impermissible design, bolts is too long. This is you problem. And sorry, but you coupling is incorect. Why you not weld part of bmw propeller shaft to mb shaft? You must be very serrious with this things-this is you life. But you is our brother in mercedes!

I used a flexdisc form a W210 E300 automatic. Larger dia and looks very strong.(Haven't tried it yet)

Say again. Use Original rear flex disk and tighten bolt so hard you can.
I t is much sronger than front disk and will hold up power.
Of cource all can be proken, if stupid

Here is a few of all the broken parts...The first thing was the stock clutch, then the gearbox and then the driveshafts...
Have now modified the diff tripodflange from 90mm to 110mm w211 style.
I now have an w211 propshaft that has bigger joint+bigger splines on the middle.
Now I have strong 110mm flexidiscs
Bought a new gearshift holder and modified that...Have also moved the gearbox closer to the floor for better propshaft angle...
Love it. So a common month for you is 29 days in the garage and 2 days on the road?

Hi, I have been following this thread with interest for quite some time now. After seeing all of those broken parts, I am just curious if you have put the car on a dyno to see how much hp and torque this car has?

Fuckin Awesome!
After a little breakdown, with the chain snapped and ruined my valves and camshafts I have now started on the rebuild! The motor is on my stand in the garage and I am uppgrading some vital parts this time to ensure a good and longlasting engine
The wedge on the chainsprocket on the crankshaft has got an "Jeemu style" uppgrade
Here is the stock 606 sprocket with the original wedge.
I have drilled a 5mm hole trough the spcrocket and hammerd a 5mm rodwedge in there (dont know the exact english word for it)
This upgrade is because the pump and camshafts are now heavier to drive, plus as jeemu says...We now have som trottle respons and th rpm drops and raises a BIT faster than a stock engine
What caused the breakdown? Valvesprings? High rew? Do you have ant harder springs now? How did the pistons look, Have the 606 burned the fuel as expected or do you need moore?
Anyway, thanks for sharing, now it seems to bee bulletproof. (again!)

Original (rh) vs race spring (lh)
All 24 springs and custom bottom shims
Do you have enough outboard motors? haha
