VNT/VGT controller options?
VNT/VGT controller options?
Are there any "stand alone" VNT/VGT controller options? If possible I'd like to use a VNT/VGT turbo on my OM602 project. Is anything available of the shelf? I'd be willing to use a homebuilt solution (Ardunio, etc) if someone could provide a functional unit. What's out there, anything?

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
You can always go mechanical with a vacuum actuator and pressure valves.

Give that thread a read. The guy seems to know what he is doing.
or:
Arduino controller DIY
If you go for that let me know how it works.
I am not clever enough or too old to solder and get this to run.

Fleece performance sell a holset one for $600.
Here's another "diy" (he ended up making a custom cnc case for a faster actuator motor):

IMO easiest way to control a VGT is to just run a wastegate to actuate the vanes and run it off of drive pressure. The Fleece controller is awesome but it would probably take a little work to adapt it to work on anything other than the 1998.5-2002 Dodge Cummins. Unless they have came out with a stand alone controller just for the turbo. It's been awhile since I looked at their website.

Did you ever find out any info on that thing?? I might be picking up a new 6.7 Dodge here in the near futer. If that happens I'm gonna tear this w123 down and attempt to run an HE451VE on her if I can get enough fuel going to her. I'll probably just use a wastegate though and control the thing off of drive pressure. And maybe a pull cable for the EB.
