(05-03-2012, 04:07 PM)Booster Please do, Looking for a exhaust manifold at the moment.
Don't really want to make one but don't really want to spend the money on the real deal.
If you fancy making another?
Cheers

What sort of power are you looking for? is your car for the road? Have you a big cc ip built yet? wayne on hear known as manta head made an adaptor from standard manifold to hx35 and works very well..
Theres an awful amount of time making one and honestly dont know if id have time yo make another at the moment its probably wiser and cheaper option just to buy one also my friend is welding it up for me once ive all tacked together as i have no tig

Also since these pictures were taken Ive had the two flanges skimmed by a Local shop.
Is this a drifting project Car Diesel Dave?
Hi yes Riverstick this is a drift car project, Im using a om606 turbo motor in my build. Where in ireland are you from?
Hi that looks like a nice pièce of kit and very well priced dieselmeken do you know the diameter of pipes?

It even the same picture that you can find under manifold at www.turbobanditen.se
any way not that smart to couple the twin sides together at the manifold if you want the benefit of using a twin entry turbine...

Cork...just south of the Real Capital city. What transmission, rear end, driveshaft etc are you using? Why so are you using a supercharger?

Riverstick, i have the complete rear end out of a toyota supra/soarer fitted and the car turreted so thatll hopefully take the abuse. As for drive shaft ill figurę that out once i get that length i will probably use part toyota and part bmw shaft welded together.. the transmision is going to be BMW 5 speed from 530d i got two of them for 150quid

Did you make the tapered parts at the head end or did you buy them? If you bought them do you have any links for sources?
[/quot
Mark the 6 tapered parts at the ports are all made, each one are made in two pieces folded from flat then welded together to make one..
Dave, is the car RHD? If so how are getting on with the down pipe and the steering box?
Cheers,
Max

These people make some pretty awesome custom headers and stuff, but its kinda far away for you folk across the ocean

Hmm this could be interesting.
I'm also planning an om606 conversion in the near future. I'd like to get the 606 in with the 603 ip and standard turbo/manifold for the time being, but I'm not sure if it will go straight in with the steering box/downpipe issues. I've heard different things from different people and I'd like to clear it up once and for all.
If I have to go for a custom manifold then I may as well save up and get a hx35 and a dieselmeken ip and bang it all in in one go as its my daily driver and I can't afford to have it off the road for too long.
If there's a cheaper way of going about the manifold then that would be something I'd be most definitely interested in.
I also prefer the look of the kkd manifold over the turbobanditen. The kkd looks stronger, whereas the turbobanditen looks like it would crack. I've heard of that happening before with stainless turbo manifolds so I'm a bit wary...
