ive been to Chad300TDs bar-b-q a couple times down outside of PA, usually in the fall, late summer, and I recommend you check that out, that guy can cook, and hes just an all around cool guy! There is usually like 10-20 cars that show up for the BBq there. So far, im in the running for shittiest car to arrive under its own power, but last year some pregnant chick took my title. I still got a consolation prize in that I had to leave while there was still daylight since my alternator was non functional, and 400 miles with dimming lights would be bad.

There are also some great BBq events further south you could probably make, I think a rusty-q and such that look like a blast, but a bit far for me. I might make it to one at some point, would be fun

There is a chowda-q in southern RI you could make. More good food, and new englanders can get to it.

Another GTG in the east would be awesome. Im sick of all these ****ing Californians running around in the sunshine hanging out with their non rusted MBs in picturesque landscapes! Big Grin

We need a baltimore ghetto meeting in the rain with a bunch of rusted cars and angry aggressive people. Big Grin

Tongue second that, for Washington State west of the Cascades. It has been raining here for five days straight. That is, when it hasn't been snowing or sleeting.

It did clear enough last night around 8 PM though, to see the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the sky due west. Check it out, really beautiful, Venus is the brightest it's been in decades.

The solution is to fix it!!

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

You should get a map and plot where everybody lives with a tack, then find (approximately) wherever would be the most convenient place to get the maximum number of people to attend. The more the merrier, right?

everybody is pretty far apart, might be easier to attend existing shows and see what grows from there, otherwise it might be lots of individual meets.

For example, this is a volvo meet in ithaca NY (awesome city by the way, if you haven't been) coming up, that is now open to all euro cars due to lack of volvo attendance last year, could be worth attending, visiting Ithaca alone is worth it. Im considering checking it out in my Volvo.

http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/153...june-23rd/

heres another existing benz meet/BBq where the date has been set down and its been going a couple years. Im definitely trying to go to this one, food is good, and usually all benz. He even gives out awards
