Ultrasonic Injector cleaning?
Ultrasonic Injector cleaning?
A coworker has an ultrasonic cleaner and I was thinking about cleaning my injectors in that thing
is this safe? I feel like it might just make things worse
No, it is the best way to get to a surgical clean level. Just be careful with the basket operation. Before you get to that, you should disassemble and not mix the parts up (each injector remains together, its parts). I would soak them in Berryman's or something along those lines. The stuff that comes in a gallon pale. Then soak in Purplecleaner. I wont give away my secret for rust removal and another stage which is my gimmick, but the above is enough to get them looking pretty good. That is, that's 2 out of 4 stages.

Yes, take the pintle out of the nozzle body, BUT do NOt mix them up. All the parts must remain together, so you either can only do one at a time Or you have a basket seperator.

Having clean ones is the way to go, but having them tuned at the right PSI and balanced is the real key. It is the variance between the injectors which causes many rough running issues.

Yes, turnaround is generally 48 hours. It's $10 per injector and $10 postage, so total $50.00. I do need a full 48 hours to do them. I use no abrasives, no acids, nothing caustic. They will look like new and I balance them per FSM or better. Generally, I shoot for 25 PSI +/- although the FSM says 50 is OK. Shipping is priority so I would have to mail them by Thursday morning at the latest for possible Saturday delivery
larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
Just pay Greazzer to do it, it's an insane improvement in the idle/ smoothness

Looking for 4 cores right now. My garage is an oven. It is hitting 100 degrees now in SC, so around 8 PM I can venture out there for a good search and destroy mission.
