So scouring the local auction / sell sites and I found a set of what seems to be the 17" AMG monoblock rims to mount on my 83 300d.

Met the guy today and we went to the car - a 1987 190E 2.6liter imported from Japan. The rims looked pretty decent and while we were haggling over price he started talking about throwing the car in for a few hundred more.

Now I dont know much about these cars, and I am more interested in keeping my diesel than reverting back to a gasser, but there has to be a market for a car like this no???

Im sitting at home trying to figure out if I can pull the engine and sell it, throw my M pump om617 into it and have some fun or just buy it and part it out keeping the rims for my 300......

Thoughts?

OM616 + 190E 2.3 = sweet!

Personally I'd drop an m-pump'd 60x in.
