If you've got a '70s era "Iron box" 4-speed bellhousing that will bolt up to an OM617, please reply.
I need one for my getrag 5-speed project.

I'll buy but would prefer trades.

Straight-up trades:
-I've got many, many '81 300TD parts (non wagon specific parts will fit all W123 models).
-Garrett GT2256ve (warranty removal due to electronics failure/minimal play)
-Intercooler from 04-07 Dodge/Cummins (stock used/good shape/with hoses/HE351ve)
-Pyrex glassware (you biodiesel guys need graduated cylinders, beakers, erlenmeyer flasks, etc? I've got tons of professional glassware and equipment!) NO METH COOKS!
-Explosion proof dual fluorescent tube lightning (intrinsically safe for hazardous environments)
-1965 Ducati 250cc single (engine only/no carb)

Don' hesitate to ask about related items. You get the idea of the type of stuff I have. to offer.

These bellhousings came from the "Iron Box" 4 speeds on the 1970's vintage.

.......

I would go with the biggest diameter available clutch size.
All stock w115 w123 om615/616/617 has a 215mm fiction diameter.
The w460 240GD/300GD and w123 280E/CE M110 gasser has a larger 228mm friction diameter.

So a 300GD flywheel would be the best. I have a M110 flywheel that I want to add material to it to make the weight in between the 617 and 616 flywheels.
