Got some interior dye from duplicolor for the 300d sedan, seems to be going pretty good so far and looks like it should hold up.

Ya thats the stuff I am using, I emailed about the application and was informed it should work with no problem.

I will let you know, I did try scratching it off with my fingernail to see if it would come off and it would not budge. We will see how the southern heat treats it though.

My dad use to do this for a living for used car lots it works great if you clean all of the crap off your seat! He used a degreaser and scotch bright and then wiped them off with toluene or methyl Ethel alcohol very carefully to get all of the grease off!

I did all that but the scotch pad, I will have to do that for the rest of it. Thanks for the tip!

Wow awesome. This is great info! Its time to replace all the carpets in my 300TD, and I'm not too interested in shelling out for the genuine MB... This stuff could make for a really sweet, albeit not stock, interior.

so hows it holding up? i really want to chang my interior color, its blue and it looks sooo stupid, i hate it, black would be much better Smile

I tried it on a nissan 240sx for the door panels and got crap results. It didn't flake off anything it just had uneven colors to it. No matter how many times i did it. Who knows though it could have just been the panel I was using. I've seen other ppl's stuff that looked pretty good.

I used the same vinyl spray paint to paint one of my first W123 door panels to make it black and it was a spot on match. I never did the seats since I had some rare cloth/tex seats in black.

Never dye cloth seats they come out hard as rock and nasty
