Could some of you guys with 606's in W124's take some pictures of how you are setting up the throttle linkages please. It's one of the issues that isn't well documented for the 606 -> w124 swap.

For my swap I am going to most likely stick with my automatic transmission unless I can somehow find a 190E 5 speed setup.

Possibly, which car did that bracket come off of, the bracket by the intake manifold.

Are you running with an auto or manual transmission?

hello 'the don' i am running manual 6 speed trans in g wagen and 5 speed manual in the 190 e. for the 190 e i used all new parts ordered for a n/a 2.5 diesel 190 (602 engine) i cut the linkage up and sawed a hole in the web in the inlet manifold to 'sink' it down so it cleared the bonnet or 'hood' i altered the underneath of the plastic cover and ran the cable through the inside so i could use the factory 190e 2.6 gasser cable ,sorry i had not ground and painted it !
the g wagen one i used the linkage from n/a 606 engined w124 and yet again cut it and altered to suit and holesawed down through the manifold web for the rod linkage and a small 'mousehole' in the cover to clear for the fixing . both work really well - mike

Cool thanks for your pictures.

I'm going to stick with my automatic transmission so I have to facilitate the bowden cable somehow. But I might start looking for a 5 speed
