I found this 606 pump. How does this pump look? Is everything there that I will need to install on my 606.692? Anything missing?

Ah--yes, thats from a N/A 606 engine.

The '55C' part of the Bosch part-number indicates the size of the plungers--5.5mm. This pump has no 'ALDA' but is good candidate for modification with larger elements--An expensive modification....

You could run it as-is, but will get no extra power over that the 606 N/A engine makes. To make dramatically more power, elements and ALDA needed.

There is one on ebay for $800+

I'd say a good used pump should go for around 200-300

look over on peach parts.I had a few offers for a 603 pump for around $200

Aye--There's at least 4 on fleagay (UK), from same seller they've been there for ages, priced stupidly at near 300 quid. Lots of greedy gits out there would rather they clutter up the place instead of selling at sensible prices..

--For a pump to strip and mod up, I'm looking at around 50 quid!--Call it a 'core' price! Or--I'm a Mean git and wont pay daft money! Cant afford to these days anyway!

There's a good breakers yard with good prices near me, just waiting for a suitable W124/210 donor, prob charge around 20-50, for a pump Had a complete subframe, trailing arms, bumpers and other stuff, That lot cost me only £50!...

Don, I take it you're going for the 606 pump then? Ha ha, me too--even though I don't understand what the big deal about the 606 pump is. I guess I'm just a douche and have to have the 606 pump because everyone wants one--that's my logic. What's your budget for your tranny? I'd like to get a nice six speed for under 700 with the linkage and crap, but I'll probably get bent over on that too. I've never been so excited about a project than this 606 Turbo project. I'm shooting for drivability by April--have to set some goals or this thing could drag on for years!

I have a 603 pump coming my way. No idea on a transmission yet. I'm not looking for tons of power yet I just want to get it into my car and running. But ideally a 5 speed stick from a 190 if I can find one. If I was rich I'd get a 6 speed if I could also find one. I need to read up on the transmissions I can use

Either the 603 or the 606 N/A pump is OK, but aint ideal

A better bet because it has an ALDA, --Especially for you USA Guys, would be pumps from the OM.603.952 or OM.603.962 --3L or 3.5L Turbo-Diesel engines--Commonplace over there so I am told....!

Those pumps have the ALDA so apart from the size of elements is more suitable as direct swap for the electronic one, Turn up the fuelling a bit and it'll allow you to at least fit and run the engine/car while you source/gather funds for the 'expensive' bits!...

Forget the 606 Turbo--apart from a source of 6mm elements, its junk for what we/you are looking to do, being electronic...

I was told the 3.5L pump has a lower governor setting and it has thr 5.5 elements as well. I have a 603 turbo pump coming and it has an intact Alda. We never received the 603 NA in the stateswoman getting one of those would never happen. I'm just stuck with the issue of figuring out the throttle linkage for the 606. The Finnish guys have it solved but it's just not documented as well as I'd hope it to be

606N/A pump is the best pump to build on, ALDA is set outside so you can adjust it eeeeeeeasy.
From RS171 & up to top of the line RS203
with a set of 7,5mm element it runs like this.

So the pump from the 3.0 turbo isn't really easily modded by your shop or is it? One day in the future I might want to send it out that way.

That's absolutely amazing. Do you know the full spec of that particular engine?
