So I had to leave the junkyard with this today

[Image: 205259_10151277634696534_81385152_n.jpg]

It's probably too big for my 606 even if I went full on superturbo

It has no shaft play and spins freely plus it has a factory rebuilt plate on it.

I think I need to pull the housings and measure the compressor wheel and turbine and see what I have. I probably is waaaaay to big for my 606, the thing came off of a Detroit Diesel cylinder

So I believe this is some form of GT4202R and I found a compressor map

[img]http://www.himni-racing.com/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=1859&zenid=k3j1s6fdd5nd0tou9sckc5ioo0[\img]

I really do wonder if this thing is useable if I go full on super turbo. Forged rods, massive inter cooler, etc

Take off the cover and measure the in/exducerWink It looks like a very good suited superturbo, but spool depends on how big the exhaust housing isWink

The exhaust housing is large. It's off of a Semi truck engine. Plus it has no waste gate.

[Image: garrett-gt4202r-twinscroll-turbo-content-1.jpg]

I do not think the OM606 can pump this thing up, I think.

I swear I've seen a build here where the person used a Scania turbocharger

The inducer is : 65mm
Exducer is: 90mm

TV4502 actually
Compressor wheel 64/92
Turbine wheel 82mm (all the way)

If the big sloppy exhaust housing was swapped for a smaller t4 .9 or something it would be a good atmospheric charger in a compound setup

I pulled it from a ud (Nissan) truck. 2007 7.2l I6 The motor in the vnt controller died and they don't sell it separately.

The compressor has oil film from the crank case vent system. They don't do road draft tubes anymore.

With a little playing around you can make it a mechanical VNT turbo, using a conventional push type wastegate actuator.

Or convert it to vacuum pull type VNT actuator for EDC application....

If it wouldn't be located in US, I would buy it ^^

Mercedes Benz W210 E-Class 320CDI, lowered 2.5", 18" AMG wheels, Decat, EGR removed, Tumble flaps removed, C30 AMG injectors, 400kpa MAP, Custom GT2566XTV turbo, SW tweaked to 300+hp/750NmBig Grin
