Hi,

I'm new here and new to Mercedes.

I am now the proud owner of a 240GD from 1983.

I want to put in a more modern, more powerful turbo - charged engine, and have been looking at the om 613 or the om 606. Can anyone tell me which I should use?

613 is a CDI engine meaning you pretty much have to buy a standalone ECU and those are expensive.
606 you will have to change to a 603 mechanical pump and change fuel elements. Also not cheap but a lot less than a new ECU.
Whats your budget?
