Thats right. I shit you not. Peanut butter. Just took off 20 years of wax build up and oxidization. $3 at your local store. Put on a good coat and then wipe it off really well...

In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

06-03-2013, 08:13 AM #5The claim is that, in addition to the oil in the PB, it's also a mild abrasive. People swear by it and it's not a nasty chemical. I'll give it a shot on my plastic. Probably won't do much at all for the massive amount of rubber trim found on pre w124 cars.
