I'm currently using an OM602 superpump with 140cc 7.5 element with a HX35.

The probleme is i can't only get the hx35 to boost 8-7 psi at 1st gear 10-12 at second gear and 16-18 at 3rd gear.

I disconnected the wastegate so it won't open. Did a pressure leak test. Timing is good. Injector are rebuilt.

So what could be the problem? would the HX35 just be to big to spool? would an HY35 be better with is small exhaust housing?

I don't think it is to big for the engine, but i could be wrong. I have the big H1C on my OM602 and it is making 15psi by 3800 with no waste gate control. But i also have a small turbine housing on it (.63A/R or 8CM) I never drove the car with the 14CM housing as im sure it would be very laggy.

you should have no problem getting 2.5 bar with hx35 with 18.5cm housing,
i run 3.3bar with 12cm housingTongue

Probably should make sure the wastegate is completely closed, even the smallest crack and you can lose all your drive pressure.
What housing is on it?

'82 300D -3" straight pipe, ALDA deleted, 3in1 glowshift gauge, HX30, egr-less manifold, A/W intercooler Big Grin
'14 Ram 6.7l cummins -G56 handshaker, wishing it was deleted

You can always try a HY35 swap out real quick. Direct replacement. Everything is the same for mounting & lines.

Im running 2.1 BAR with mine, exhaust pressure before turbine is 2.4 BAR
Comes on full boost about 3700-4000.

Again i have a big H1C with a .63A/R

the HX35 use a 12cm housing. tryed touse an HY35 with 9cm but still nearly no boost and I did a leak test and no leak to be found. I really don't know what could be the problem. I'm usin a 3" straight exhaust so it shouldn't have a lot of backpressure

I bet its a leak. The first two times out my car would only make 12 psi, Couldnt hear or see a leak. I pressurized the system to 40psi and found a coupler leaking. After fixing that the car was doing 35psi and blowing the remaining not t-clamp fittings off.
Its not as complicated as your making it.

You need to know you turbine inlet pressure to really diagnose this.

If the low idle screw is adjusted cw = lower rpm on low idle, and you adjust up the idle speed with the throttle shaft you get low power.
I have had some customers that have done this adjustments and lost power that way.

Scenario is, start up engine and low idle is to high, 1500-1800rpm, low idle adjusts down on the 6 mm screw on the governor, = power is lost.

Fault is that the throttle not goes back to zero in the linkage.
Always check linkage before you adjust on the pump.

Can this be your problem or have you solved it?

I'll do some test again but I doubt this is the problem, my idle is around 800rpm and never touched the governor screw since I got the pump.

I'll do some test again but I doubt this is the problem, my idle is around 800rpm and never touched the governor screw since I got the pump.
