Its a 17.5mm swaybar, 2mm up from the stock size for the 300D and a straight fit. The only concern is the fuel line which can be routed around the bar pretty easily and the bushing are right on the edge of the curve. If I get squeeks in the winter, I will consider making a plate to move them in.

The end links are the same on the 124 and 210. Like the buishings they mount a little off of original but seem to work just fine. Pretty sure it was a E320, nothing fancy.

The end links are the same on the 124 and 210. Like the buishings they mount a little off of original but seem to work just fine. Pretty sure it was a E320, nothing fancy.

I think it needs to be from a 4Matic W210.... The 2WD's have link pins and the sway bar mount behind the control arms rather then in the front like 124s

Hi, I´m new in forum from Spain. Days ago I went to junkyard and measured rear sway bar from several W210´s, all measured were 16mm.
There was a W210 Estate funeral car, also was 16mm , the springs were 15mm thick.

I will double check but they should be 16.5mm thick, 30% stiffer than stock 300D.

New news from junkyard...today I saw an E420 W210 Estate, see a bit thick the rear sway bar, I went with the caliper to measure rear springs...and 18,2mm thick!!!!!!! is the rear sway bar. Best of all the rear end was removed previously by another person, the I go to my bike (I went today to junkyard in bike) and get the stock tool from it, with the 6mm Allen I removed the 4 bolts...Tomorrow 31 Dec or the "next year" I´ll fit it. 2 months ago I fitted one 16,5mm thick from an Sportline Sedan, stock in my car (W124 300D Estate) was 14,65mm.

Have you upgraded the front as well? The w210 rear upgrade was excellent for the 124, you will have to manuever the fuel pipe a bit to keep it from rubbing.

Front is at moment 28,5mm, but I want fit the 30,4mm from the SL500, when I´ll put an 606.

I removed the rear SLS system, all hydraulic system, pump , oil reservoir, lines, shocks, spheres, regulator valve to sway bar, 9,2 Kg less.
Fitted H&R brown (Estate-Wagon) springs, front dropped 35mm, rear another 35mm with the stock SLS, when I removed the SLS dropped another 25mm more, total rear dropped 60mm!, but I carried an Seatat 1600 DOHC engine in the trunk, and the rear was very low, must fit harder springs (15mm Funeral car I saw....and no caught them, stupid of me)...
I also try with the H&R Sedan 29527 ref. springs at rear, but the same height ride.

What shocks I fitted? First I fitted Volvo 850 rear ones, but the bottle of these shocks it is long, and the car goes to top travel of the shocks (sorry my english).
Later I fitted Nissan Terrano front ones, they are a bit "hard", too much "dry" in road holes, but good in highway roads, with no asphalt joints. Fitted the W124 Sedan low arms.

I want lift the rear about 25mm more than front, actually is very equal front and rear, for a Wagon prefer a bit taller the rear.

The Terrano shocks are at 50mm of their top compressed travel, if I lift the rear 25mm then goes to 75mm of free travel, need the bottom fit point of the shock about 30mm lower, welding some steel pieces, then the shocks could have 75+30=105mm of free travel, leaving 30-35mm of "sag" travel, total travel of Terrano front shocks is 130-140mm.
I say "sag" travel to the free movement to upwards.

Front in future (when work) I´ll install Bilstein B8.

Today not fitted the W210 sway bar...I´ll fit the "next year".................

W124 Sportline Sedan 16,5mm is the straight one, the curved one is from W210 E420 Wagon, 18,2mm.

Not drive enough the car, raining today. Before change anything the stock suspension is as a boat-whale, smooth, comfortable, silence in road holes, too much body roll in turns, roundabouts...also I say is my first W124 car I have in my life, and has better ride than I could imagine, with that big body, height, weight, front wheels take camber when turn them, and helps to turn best.
When I fitted the H&R springs and 16,5mm rear sway bar was another car, it can drive in roundabouts at more speed by the outer way, too less body roll, it appear a "sport car", best reaction in fast side to side steering, stock old tyres 195/65-15 bad Firestones..I´ve removed 51 Kilos from the car, in stupid things for me, as the A/A system, condenser-fans-some tubes, compressor-support (15 kilos aprox), the trunk cover and net behind the rear seats (7 kilos), SLS system (9,3 kilos) , fitted an aluminium plate in the front cam cover of the engine OM603.912 where the SLS pump is , cut rear muffler (13 kilos), rear clean windshield wiper , electric motor and water bottle, plastics in engine bay and in the floor...
Weighted the central and rear stock mufflers, 29 kilos!!!!!!!
