Hi guys
spent most of the last year sorting out my motor to a point where im now happy with it and want to possibly go for more bhp.
at the moment im running her with the ecu chipped from the standard 150bhp to 175bhp and a straight through stainless steel exhaust system.

i want to ditch the aic con rad and possibly try to fit a bigger front mounted intercooler and go far a slightly bigger turbo ( but not too big that is causes masses of lag )

whats the best turbo option for me to go for as ive been told i can get my original mercedes one modified into a hybrid one or do i just bolt on something bigger.
cheers guys and a great site

i want to leave the pump as standard for the moment, as its about 175bhp at the moment ive spoken to a turbo shop that can hybrid my original one for about an extra 30bhp or so, so i think with a bigger intercooler maybe and then a slight remap/re0chip i should see 200bhp or so..

400 odd hp reliably, there's one on this forum nudging 550hp but
i think it has forged rods in it.

Did they give you any info on the hybrid turbo, specs? Do you have a boost or egt gauge installed? Don't think you'll need a larger intercooler for your power aims.

well looked at the front today, im looking at ditching the aircon rad but it still loks like a nightmare to route the pipework and so on..!! no i dont have a boost gauge installed, is this easy to do on the c250 om605.... does anyone have any pictures of a larger front mounted intercooler on a w202..

Very easy to install a boost gauge, t-piece on the inlet. Pipes should be easy, there's no need for the pipe to go over the engine and back.

ok without sounding like a complete idiot..lol can some knock me up a rough diagram of how to fit a boost gauge to my c250td and an option for routing the intercooler pipes Thanks Smile

Off the inlet manifold, there is a pipe going to the MAP. Put a t-piece on this pipe and use this for a boost gauge. Although it won't be much of an advantage, unless you change the turbo or mapping to see any changes.

Sorry for hijacking the thread...
