Picked up an E300 the other day (W210 1999)

Can I get rid of the crankcase breather (that goes to the intake) by fitting a catch tank and venting it to atmosphere?

Also wanna get rid of the airbox and put a big cone filter on, do I need to keep the maf sensor?

Any other ways of squeezing a few more ponies??

How much does a remap get??

With remap you can get ~40...50ps more. It`s no problem to make remap without EGR or/and MAF.

Why are taking away the airbox? I'd probably leave it unless you're changing the turbo.

You can take away the MAF but will need to add resistors to fool the ecu. There's a thread on mblcub and here somewhere.

You can also fool the ecu to increase the boost and fueling, tuning boxes are rare but do come up on eBay.

How do you fool the ecu for more power? Tongue

I've copied the links below:

Boost

Fuel

Too much boost will create problems and cause limp mode though. MAF and EGR are easy to delete, guides on here and mbclub.uk.

2nd needing maf delete.

I'm building a compound manifold for my 606 (in a 210) so it's for the greater good! Come on guys!

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..
