hi,
using 330d gearbox and supra backend, both have 3 bolt flanges designed for rubber flexi disc.
would like to do away with them and use bolt on drive shaft with hardy spicer in each end. whats my options?

Your a smart guy with a lathe correct? Turn those flanges down and fit a weld on u-joint end and have a drive shaft made up. Fairly easy stuff here in the states...i would think you have plenty of drive shaft shops your was as well?

If you have a 617, you could use one of these adapters and install a t5 or tremec. Use a Dana 44 rear.

I don't know specifically what flanges are avaliable for this application. But the way to figure it out is to remove the existing flanges, and measure the shaft splines. You need to know the major diameter and the spline count. A quick check of the Dana/Spicer catalog would tell you if there are any viable options:

That's the route I took. Works very well. The steel disc in pic #1 is for the speedo pick-up.
