The problem is the stroke. Both 8mm and 10mm valves have a different stroke. I wouldn't buy them new until one of us finds out what a used set it like.
Honestly, the amount of money it takes to rebuild an MW pump is not much different from a Myna.

What engine did they use this pump on so I can try and source some used ones? I have a bunch of hookups for heavy engine manufactures.

The 10mm elements are available from the DT466. However, I believe only some of the early versions of this engine had the MW. I actually found a set of 6 elements in a pump, still on the truck, but did not purchase them due to the uncertainty surrounding their application.
fyi-
I just received some 10mm volvo elements that I ordered from Chinahanji. They were $12.50 each iirc. Shipping was pretty steep at $56 though. They only allow payment through wire transfer, and the entire transaction took about a month, but they are legit. I'm going to try to find a place to install them in a spare pump of mine next friday.

Did you ask about the 8mm ones? It is my understanding that the strok on the 10mm was 2mm greater or smaller can't remember. Look forward to hearing the results. You will want to up your pop pressure and start with the DV turned all the way down. I would also have the ALDA on and screwed in all the way.
Can't wait to hear about this one! I have a pump with bad elements that would be perfect for this...
Was that $59 per for shipping or total? Total would be fairly decent.
They show an 8mm element for the MW!!! http://www.chinahanji.com/13_Plunger_mw.htm
However there is a MW and MW thin, the MW thin is what the MB uses, and they only show 10mm elements. You can see pictures of the two however.
To bad they don't have any options on the M pump.
it was $56 for shipping for everything. I ordered 6 elements @$12.50ea and 6 delivery valves @$2.00ea (i felt like getting an extra to play with) the total price for all this delivered was ~$144.
I saw the 8mm ones, but like winmutt said, they are not the "thin" variety, not sure if there is any difference other than the flange thickness.
Also, I thought I remembered reading somewhere that pumps with "RS1xxx" as the last digits of the pump model# indicated the longer stroke. Thats why I chose these volvo elements. besides the 5.5mm mercedes elements, They were the only other elements offered by chinahanji for a pump with a part # that did not end in "RS1xxx". Maybe someone with some real knowledge of bosch pumps could confirm or deny my half-ass reasoning?
I contacted them via email and they do not carry the 7mm elements for the M pump. What a shame. If this is a workable solution for you then I am going to try the 9mm for the MW pump if they have them.
