Where do people get their EGT gauges?
Where do people get their EGT gauges?
As above really, eBay sell £30-40 specials which I'm staying away from, companies like Greddy sell them for c£200.
Does anybody have a source of cheaper reliable ones? I intend to use an industrial pressure gauge for EGP.
Thanks,
H.
I have a glowshift 3in1 gauge for my car for the past 3 years, it has worked fine and been reliable, but I don't know how much I'd recommend one just because they are made kind of cheap like.
Isspro and autometer (not the cheapest series though), I've have always been a fan of Stewart Warner gauges also.
larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
Auber Instruments are my cheap go-to supplier

Mine is made by Sunpro, I believe it was around $100 or so, seems to work pretty well
I got mine from "egauges.com" , discount prices on all name brand stuff. No affiliation.
Am googling arduino installation now.
I'd prefer a gauge style type but how has anyone checked accuracy?
I have an ir temperature gun but I can't exactly probe my actual exhaust gas, not can I do it whilst driving for that matter!
I'm sure eBay gauges can't be that inaccurate?! I think in trying to convince myself here..

Name-brand gauges will give name brand results, lab quality thermocouples + aurduino or 12v temperature controller work wel too.
I wouldn't go with a noname chinese unit though.

Im going to buy a k-type thermocouple and work out the best manifold install and go from there, if I work out the range I can put together a simple digital reader bits from RS components..
Nice to see another British 210 owner! Are you going STD or at least big-TD?
