2 300TD's for sale
2 300TD's for sale
On the interstate, I broke the water pump / fan belt, way overheated, and destroyed the engine on my White wagon. I love the cars, but I just can't fund them anymore, and I don't feel like doing an engine swap. I'm going to see if anyone here wants them, before I post ads elsewhere. If there is no major interest within a reasonable amount of time, I'll start parting them out; but I'll try to sell them whole first.
Even if you aren't interested in buying, any info on a fair price to ask for would be greatly appreciated. I want to attempt to recover any money that I can.
1. White '82 300TD Turbo with tan interior; interior and exterior are about 8/10; this is the one with the messed up motor. It has a perfect trans and 2.47 diff. The only rust is between the roof and sunroof, about the size of a pencil eraser, not a hole.
2. Blue '83 300TD Turbo with light tan interior; interior and exterior are probably about 3/10; significant rust (hole in passenger floorboard) This one has a very good motor. Its is messy but full of good parts.
I will try to post pictures soon. Please ask any questions or for any specific photos. Both cars are located in Jackson, Tennessee.
I need some help pricing these cars.
I know that they won't go for much, but I want a fair price both ways.
If you read this, going by other sales that you have seen, please post your opinion on a rough fair price for each car or both.
I'm not asking you to make an offer, but only an opinion of price.
I know that I haven't provided a massive amount of details, but any guides as to an offer to accept would be of great help to me. Thanks!
(I'm still working on getting pictures)

a 300td wagon with a bad engine in nearly perfect condition had a hard time selling for $500 out here in Co.
the 100 year anniversary was 1986!!!!???
Here are some pictures of the White one. I'm sorry its so dirty, I didn't have time to wash it today.
where are these located again?
Dude,
If you were closer and I had the room, I'd buy the white one... You should really look into renting a cherry picker from Autozone and swapping the engines... that swap could probably be done solo in a long weekend.

I agree, you should swap motors between the two wagons.
But if you don't, too bad your not in Cali. I'd pick up either one if the price is right.
