It is a 95 4-runner IFS. I have 27" from stock bellhousing to A/C condensor ( radiator is removed). The 606 is 31" from back of block were bellhousing bolts on to the front of the crank pulley.
I can move the transmission and transfercase back 4"- 6" to move the engine back towards the firewall. I am doing a 617 in a toyota truck which had the same problem and trimed the core support out to use a jeep cherokee radiator which is wide and narrow in height, and moved it forward.

I read a TDI swap in a tacoma before and they could drop the diff (spacers) some to get more oil pan clearence it can be done with the 1984-1988 4runners/PU and the later shared a similar design. thats going to be one TIGHT fit haha. Pusher fans for sure and Water to Air IC?

I just did a 4" lift kit on the 4-runner for the customer. This lowered the diff. down which helps. The steering dampner is above the steering arm and could be moved under the steering arm to gain more clearence.
I want to use the stock fan or puller fans not pusher fans they don't work well. Intercooler can be under the radiator as well.
Worse case can be a fabricated oil pan with the sump in the rear and a extended oil pickup tube.
