What cc's
What cc's
Hi Guys,
I am about to send in my mechanical diesel pump to have the elements changed in from the electronic pump of my OM606.
I will be keeping the stock turbo etc.
What cc's do I specify to have them calibrated to?
I would like to get the max out of the setup.
Unfortunately I have no clue as to how many cc's are required to get at least the 130kW(177PS).
I have had one suggestion so far at 73cc.
Thanks in advance.
So the pump went in and I discussed with them what I want to do. They said they would check mechanical pump settings and electronic pump settings.
Today they phoned:
mechanical pump set to 80kW cc forgot to ask as I wasn't phased.
electronic pump set to 130kW, 65 cc's this was the stock OM606 pump.
They will now exchange elements and calibrate to 75cc which they estimate to be able to deliver 150kW.
Can anyone confirm these relations?
larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
I'm no expert but I want to say the hot-tuned guys run 80cc, and 120cc is considered a crazy setup. IIRC, it's cc per 1,000 rotations of the pump.

my 617 pump set at 90cc

150cc will net about 400+ on a 606 with supporting mods.
My 602 pump is set for 150ccs
crazy is 200++...

Yes, that sounds OK to me

Just piggy backing this thread instead of starting a new one, what CCs & element size would you recommend for trying to get the most useable power out of an internally stock OM605 with an HX35?
It is a daily driver, also an idea of hp & torque I could expect from that set up.

I think Muuris got 350+ on his 605 with 7.5mm elements around 150cc. His Jeep thread talks about it more
