OM605 into 190D straight swap?
I am only up the road from you in Laois and I have an om605 turbo in a w124 if you want a look. I am hoping to have the 722.6 5 speed in her soon as I got the controller off Olefeger on here. The controller is handy as it controls boost but I have a pressure wastegate if you need one.

I am helping friends fit a 606/722.6 into their 190 which came with a 1.8 4 cyl so you should be fine, I believe the 2.5d have the advantage of coming with the removeable slam pannel and forward mounted rad already?
How are people tackling the steering box & engine mounts issues ?
(02-25-2014, 03:37 AM)Stevo-trendy How are people tackling the steering box & engine mounts issues ?Engine mounts aren't usually an issue if installing into an originally diesel equiped 190 but the steering box is only an issue for us RHD countries, most of the posters on this forum are LHD.

Is the 606 a tight fit in them? I must check that, mine is already 5 cylinder so 605 shouldnt be a problem. Are you having problem with the turbo hitting the steering box?
Very tight, possible lump hammer relief on the trans tunnel needed as the belhousing is bigger because of the torque converter, slow progress at the mo, no fuel at the injectors with our new 7.5 element pump..

Well the standard 190 has a relief in the firewall for the stock 2" DP to fit between it and the steering box so I dont see how our 2.5" Holset DP won't fit in the same place. Will be tight but will firmly (not solidly) mount the DP to the chassis so there is no contact to firewall. And possible flex section from exducer to join DP.
Got to be easier than converting to rack sheesh!
