I was thinking of supercharging my dayli car w124 300d estate
I had bad experience with turbo a stock 606NA with only the stock turbo manifold and turbo. I damage the engine. There was a problem upper about 5000rpm. Most here I. The forum write from the bad small manifold otherwhise I never got 177hp like the stock turbo engine.
Anyway. I think why not only a turbo charger so there is no oilfeed and return and no restriction to the exhaust.
I have a Eaton but ist not as big as it should be.
What charger is nice for this enginge?
Next problem is I want it fit under the intake where the AC should be and want to look as stock as possible
Also it should be removable with not much problems..
It was just an idea. Don't know if I should go for it becaus it's my Daly car and don't wanna spend much money and time like my other car.

I used a M90 on a 1994 Ford F350 with the IH/NavStar 7.3 IDI NA. Minus figuring out the fitment, it worked very well and made a good work/plow truck even better. Unfortunately I had to sell it (can't drive a standard shift anymore) but I still see it driving around town. Parts are relatively cheap, I got mine from a pick and pull in PA off of a Pontiac Gran Prix. I don't know if the flow rate will work, but try it, you might be onto something.
I don't looked into the engine what's happens. It would not rev over 5000rpm and at this point it sound like a rev limiter on a petrol car. Oil blowby at the vent pipe. Power was nice for stock pump and about 0.9 bar boost. I think it was to much back pressure. Don't know if the reason was only the smal stock exhaust manifold.
Because stock rev limit was about 5500. And the gearbox was over and out at 200kmh at about 5000rpm.
The w210 606 tubo has 177 hp earlyer. The NA has 136 hp at really high revs.
But you are right! Don't rev over 5000 and everything is fine.. but I don't figured out where the problem was.
I think the EGR must be fully opened until boost starts to reduce backpressure..
To make 180hp with supercharger means actually that you need to make around 200hp as supercharger draws power from your engine. To make 180hp out of it with turbo means that you need to make 180hp.
Which do you think has less stress to the engine?
