Hi guys,The clutch in my truck has started to slip under maximum load.606 engine with the C250 dual mass flywheel and new LUK clutch 3000 miles ago. Any thoughts on something a little better, bearing in mind it's a work vehicle used for towing etc. Thanks and would welcome any ideas.

What gearbox are you using? You may be able to upgrade to a 240mm dual mass or a single mass from a sprinter if you bell housing's large enough.

If youre lucky someone may do an upgraded clutch kit for a c250?

Other than that youre only solution is custom. You can have the friction disc relined with a material that has a higher coefficient of friction.

It could possibly be a defective clutch and therefore you may be able to exchange it under warranty. Entirely up to you if you want to go down that route...

I've read somewhere about problems with not original gearbox that the bearing would keep pressure on the pressure plate.

I just have a standard C250TD box. I have checked the arm and there doesn't seem to be pressure on the bearing. I like the sound of the sprinter single mass conversion if it fits.

Used a Spinter (903) kit.Has built in pilot bearing and 240mm diameter. Fits without any mods, just use your own release bearing. Euro car parts no. 633220030. Also on gum-bay for the same sort of price. Hope this is of some use to someone. Much better feel and no more slippage .!!
